'Most Israeli citizens lost confidence' in govt: Leaders 'shift' blame, 'block' commission inquiry

Oliver Farry welcomes Guy Poran, a former Israeli Air Force officer and member of Mistaclim (Looking the Occupation in the Eye). Poran sees October 7 as a profound rupture in Israeli society following the unprecedented Hamas attack, which targeted civilians across generations. He argues that responsibility for the failures cannot be separated from the policies that preceded the attack, including the Netanyahu government's approach toward Hamas. Without political change, Poran sees little prospect of repairing relations between Israelis and Palestinians or creating the conditions for a lasting peace, which he regards as crucial to Israel's future. #October7 #Israel #War 🔔 Subscribe to France 24 now: https://f24.my/YTen 🔴 LIVE - Watch FRANCE 24 English 24/7 here: https://f24.my/YTliveEN 🌍 Read the latest International News and Top Stories: https://www.france24.com/en/ Like us on Facebook: https://f24.my/FBen Follow us on X: https://f24.my/Xen Bluesky: https://f24.my/BSen and Threads: https://f24.my/THen Browse the news in pictures on Instagram: https://f24.my/IGen Discover our TikTok videos: https://f24.my/TKen Get the latest top stories on Telegram: https://f24.my/TGen
