World Space Week: UN Chamber Music Society presents “One by One (feat. Stephen Fry)”

On Saturday, 10 October 2026, the UN Chamber Music Society presents “One by One”, featuring Actor Stephen Fry, with Dr Chrispy — in celebration of World Space Week at the United Nations. The event will be broadcasted internationally through the global platforms of the United Nations: UN Web TV and UN YouTube. Stephen Fry lends his voice to the track, and Dr Chrispy is the stage name of astronaut, engineer, and Planet Labs co‑founder Dr. Chris Boshuizen, who flew to space aboard Blue Origin’s NS‑18 mission in 2021. World Space Week, established by the UN General Assembly in 1999 and marked each year from 4 to 10 October, is the largest annual space event on Earth, celebrating humanity’s achievements in space exploration across more than 100 countries. This year’s theme, “Rocket Revolution,” honors the transformation of space launch into a fast‑growing ecosystem of commercial providers and reusable rockets. In this spirit, the UN Chamber Music Society is dedicating 100% of its streams from this release to UN OCHA — whose lyrics trace humanity's journey from gazing up at the stars in wonder, to opening the doorway to orbit six decades ago, to today's dawning era of democratized spaceflight, in which space travel is no longer reserved for the few. Its refrain imagines generations to come looking down on our great blue planet and, one by one, falling in love with it anew — the same spirit of wonder, unity, and shared stewardship that World Space Week celebrates each year. Founded in 2016 by Brenda Vongova, the UN Chamber Music Society of the United Nations Staff Recreation Council is dedicated to promoting the United Nations’ goals and values at large - through the universal language of music. Listen to the UN Chamber Music Society’s orchestra version of “One by One (feat. Stephen Fry) on Spotify, Apple, Deezer, Tidal, YouTube, TikTok, Pandora, and all the major music distribution platforms worldwide. 100% of the streams will be donated to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) — supporting its frontline response to climate-driven humanitarian crises worldwide.
