Trump endorses Jake Paul for future political office

President Trump brought YouTube creator and boxer Jake Paul onstage at a rally Wednesday in Hebron, Kentucky.
Mr. Paul credited the president with demonstrating bravery: "What President Trump's taught me is courage. You never back down from a fight."
President Trump in turn praised Mr. Paul and said he hoped he would soon enter politics.
"I'm going to make a prediction that you will be, in the not-too-distant future, running for political office. And you have my complete and total endorsement!" he said.
Mr. Paul has not publicly expressed interest in running for political office. He began his entertainment career acting on Disney Channel in 2016 before becoming one of the highest-paid YouTube personalities of the late 2010s and early 2020s. He entered professional boxing in August 2018 and broke ticket-sale records for his November 2024 fight against Mike Tyson.
President Trump appeared on Mr. Paul's podcast ahead of the 2024 election, where the creator first endorsed Vivek Ramaswamy before later shifting his support to the Trump campaign.
