In Paul Thomas Anderson’s “One Battle After Another,” best supporting actress Oscar nominee Teyana Taylor plays Perfidia Beverly Hills, a key figure in an armed militant group, whose revolutionary zeal – even after giving birth to a child – is more than even some of her most devoted compatriots can take. In this scene, Perfidia makes a choice between the revolution and her family, as a helpless Rocketman (best actor Oscar nominee Leonardo DiCaprio) tries to appeal to her maternal instincts. “One Battle After Another,” a Warner Brothers release, is nominated for 13 Academy Awards, including best picture.
