Sen. Markwayne Mullin (R-OK), the president’s nominee to lead the Homeland Security Department, said he would require judicial warrants for federal immigration agents to enter private homes or businesses, signaling a shift from Secretary Kristi Noem.
“We will not enter a home or a place of business without a judicial warrant unless we’re pursuing an individual that runs into a place of business or a house,” he told Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) during his confirmation hearing.
